Herein is a collection of "shiny pennies" shot by a girl named Emma with a pentax k10D named Penny. Together they dabble in portraiture, photojournalism, and sports photography, specializing in snowboarding, skating, and distracting social gatherings with large obnoxious lenses. The following will consist of a mixture of the above (follow the first link below to a specialized gallery, currently featuring snowboarding and skateparks).
Fiona, 5 year old piece of heaven, my little bean. I’ll put up regular pictures of her and the other children sporadically, but this to start with. Part of a piece about identity, in which I created portraits from slices of other photos taken of the subject, intermixed with which are two slices of white, one labelled with the nickname given to them by our full cross-cultural family. There is intent in this. And she is wonderful and beautiful. Fall 2009.
